The Village of Queen Charlotte Municipal Office is a registered participant in the 2011 Great British Columbia ShakeOut (ShakeOut BC) that is planned as a province wide earthquake drill to be held at 10:00 am on January 26th . We encourage local businesses, organizations, government agencies, individuals and families to join us by registering at www.shakeoutbc.ca.

Some of our activities include:

1. Looking for ways to improve workplace safety by reducing the height of stacked boxes and fixing filing cabinets and bookshelves to the walls; and,
2. Documenting post earthquake inspection and recovery activities and procedures for municipal operations and services.
