Declaration of Election by Voting
Requirements to vote or be a candidate
To vote or run in the election, you must:

Be 18 years of age or older on general voting day

Be a Canadian citizen

Have lived in BC for at least 6 months immediately before election day or the day nomination papers are filed

Voters must be a resident of the Village of Queen Charlotte for at least 30 days immediately before voting (not applicable to candidates)

Not be disqualified by law from voting, or from being nominated, elected, or holding office
You may also be eligible to vote as a Non-resident property elector if you:
- Are eligible to vote as a resident elector in another municipality; and
- Own property in the Village of Queen Charlotte for 30 days or more before you register to vote.
